Altogether there were 903 Norsemans built,
beginning in November 1935. The last one was completed in 1959.
They have been flown in, or over, 67+ countries in the world, plus the
Arctic and Antarctic continents. I first began this site as a gift to
my grandfather, Robert Noorduyn, and as a tribute to his father,
Robert B.C. Noorduyn. Since then, I have become quite interested in
the planes and their history. I have not been lucky enough to
fly in a Norseman yet however I hope to someday.
It is astonishing to me the emotion and love
this plane has evoked from people all over the world. I have
received emails from many people who have had experiences with a
Norseman and all have very fond memories. I have decided to start
sharing these emails, with the author's permission of course. I
will start posting them over the next few weeks.
