Color Schemes
(All)
Air Force:
C/N Numbers 100 through 399 inclusive - olive drab and gray camouflage scheme.
C/N Numbers 400 through 848 inclusive - silver.
Civilian aircraft:
All Norsemans went out the factory door painted silver with black
registration letters, ex.: CF-BDG. If a customer wanted his own colors and
insignia, the company did it for him at extra cost or the customer did
his own paint job. Most customer paint schemes were in bright colors.
The main rule was that the aircraft could be visible from the air when
sitting on lakes, snow, or tree tops. To this day, Norseman pilots will
argue about which is the best color to use.
